Tao Bak is an educator and scholar working mainly in the field of academic literacy development. As a child Tao attended Steiner schools in the Netherlands, New Zealand and Australia. Tao is currently an Academic Language and Learning Adviser at Deakin University. His interests include the history of alternative education in Australia and how educational practices may be enhanced by contemplative approaches and pedagogies. He lives and works on the land of the Wurundjeri of the Kulin nation.
